Get ahead by gaining real-world skills, earning college credits, and potentially graduating high school with a career-ready certificate in hand. What’s the Cost?

Tuition and fees are waived for eligible high school students residing in the ACC Service Area. Students may take up to 60 Credit Hours or completion of an Associate’s Degree. This waiver also includes earning a Level 1 certificate. Eligible courses for tuition and fee waivers include Core Curriculum, workforce, and foreign language courses.

Dual Credit tuition and fee waivers do not cover textbook and material fees. For students who are eligible for free and reduced lunch at their school, you may be eligible for the FAST program.

Do my Credits Transfer?

Career Academy classes are intended for workforce entry, not university transfer. However, some credits may be applied toward an associate degree program. Certificates are intended to be stacked into an AAS – Associate of Applied Sciences pathway. Talk with your ACC Career Programs Advisor and your High School Counselor before registering for classes you intend to transfer.

Ready to Get Started?

Follow these steps to start working on your career certificate:

1. Meet with your high school counselor to review requirements.
2. Apply to the Career Academy that interests you most.
3. Submit your online ACC application.
4. Complete the online orientation and pass the assessment at the end with a score of 80% or higher.
5. Register for Career Academy classes.
